Angel Poem by Tatiana Shevtsova

Angel

Rating: 2.5

Yes, he knew he wasn't right at all.
Yes, he knew that paradise waited for him.
But he flapped his wings and flew;
He flew away to find the love he dreamed of.

Yes, he knew it's not gonna be easy.
Yes, he knew he had to sacrifice.
But he believed he could find on the earth
Something that he couldn't find in heaven.

Yes, he knew love is like falling to a chasm,
And he prepared himself to jump there, but
His feelings turned to unrequited love,
And being pained he made a curse to love.

His wings at once became as dark as night.
And after it his heart turned into stone.
He couldn't handle with his own feelings,
And all his soul was in flames.

He didn't want revenge, but he couldn't forgive.
He cursed such love and locked doors to his heart.
And if you meet someone afraid of love,
Remember, it might be this fallen angel.
