Angel Wings: Sonnet 6 Poem by Stacey Gibbs

Angel Wings: Sonnet 6

Rating: 1.5

You walked out of my life
Without a goodbye
Causing such strife
I cried
You never looked back
To see if we were okay
We slowly took your things and packed
I wish you could have stayed
Those nights that I cried myself to sleep
Left tear streaks and swollen eyes
All I could do was weep
Because I never asked why
But now I know why you left me in the swing
Because God wanted you to have angel wings.
