Anger Poem by Dani Sanders

Anger

It wells up inside
No matter how hard she tries
To keep it from getting out
Trying not to scream or shout
Nothing helps to make it go away
It keeps coming back
Harder and harder to keep at bay
Triggered so easily
She doesn’t know what to do
One day it will break out
One day she will be through
Hourglass almost empty
She sits there alone
Not quite ready to let go
To let the rage free to show
