Anger Poem by Julie Ramos

Anger

steal my soul, rage and scream
yellow burning flame, scream
reaching in desperation, soul wants to take flight
but it's held down against it's will

anger rolling within, boiling- rush of water over my head
there's nothing left of me; all that's left is anger

child, child, I will protect you
I will fly you away up to a mountain top blue
no more to be daggered and sliced and abused

I give you these well wishes, heed them clear:
may my love be proven to you
may my heart be true
may I be strong and courageous
