Angst Poem by Cabaline xxx

Angst

I needed to find a peaceful place,
to organise my muddled mind.
So I chose a close by beach,
as my place for overdue meditation.
It was completely isolated- no distractions.
Eventually I sat- surrounded by freedom,
but smothered by my own thoughts.
The sea retreated away from me,
out of.... Fear? Respect? Empathy?
However, I was drowned by uncertainty.
Half-truths fused together in my head,
finding pictures to match them,
creating new meaning, possibilities.
The quietness near me, only amplified,
the screaming confusion of my mind.
Questions emerged from my answers.
So the decision was made,
to return to normality, go back home,
and try my very hardest, to do nothing.
At least, until- order is born of chaos.
