Anna Marie Poem by ROGEL FRANCIS SORIOSO

Anna Marie

Let me tell you about my woman Anna Marie whom I married in the distant past
Our vow and promise to love each other forever somehow did not even quite last
She was my companion since from the beginning when time did not exist
We even had the chemistry like no other with whatever it might consist
She was with me in Macedonia as my lovely wife and my Queen
Worshiped as a Goddess for such beauty of those who have seen
We were even the couple behind the greatest love story that was ever told
As Romeo and Juliet written in such tragedy in all the books they have sold
As my Empress when I was still the Emperor of France
Her character and face just captivated me as we dance
She was my loving wife when I became the First President of America
Even the time when I fought against them all with my Nazi Swastika
She was still my wife when I was shot by the Spaniards in the back
We loved each other like lovers do as we both race against the clock
And even though God placed us in the same School, Section and Village
Fate was so cruel and unkind to tear us apart from one another's image
I even created the I LOVE YOU virus to remind the world of our love
But God wanted it all to end as soon as possible as he watch up above
Anna Marie stood by my side in Macedonia, Berlin and many more
But our love for each other never felt quite the same like it did before
So on your Birthday tomorrow let me remind you of my love once and for all
That even though you already belong to someone else I will still hear your call
That in the limited thinking of humanity who could never understand
That I only went to America to follow you and yes, ask for your hand
May the love you found now fill you with the satisfaction you desire
And hopefully you will find the peace you long for when you retire
As of me my destiny is still unfulfilled for I am still broken
As I am being denied of the love which I long-fully spoken
Hopefully fate wont be as cruel and unkind as it was on you
For my heart is now torn apart for the love that was new
So even though our forever did not quite happen somehow
We would surely be happy with whatever we had found now
