Abraham Lincoln Poem by ROGEL FRANCIS SORIOSO

Abraham Lincoln

Rating: 4.5

Abraham Lincoln the savior of the slaves
The enemy of those who misbehaves
A powerful underdog of the weak
Who moves emotions as he speak
A warrior without any fear
Who laughs at danger even if its near
He never saw himself as superior to others
He believed we are all equal as sisters and brothers
The only president who showed compassion to the colored people
He never backed down even if he knows its gonna be trouble
He believed that regardless of the color of your skin
You have the right to be a part of the american dream
Only if you try no matter how hard it seem
He was victorious as we have expected
The negroes were freed but not respected
Assassinated before he could finish what he started
For he was just a tyrant who should be taken for granted
So his dream of equality was never completed
and the colored people was left neglected
Even though he's now buried six feet deep
I still see him in my dreams and sleep

A good tribute to THE GREAT EMANCIPATOR who liberated slaves with his EMANCIPATION PROCLAMATION. Probably the best American President, a noble man who bestrode the indignity of Slavery and erased it scourge. A nice piece of poetry. Thanks for sharing.
