Annadata,
Grihalakshmi,
Annapurna,
Now think I about
Those days of the house
Full of working and serving members
When I had been ignorant of
Their selfless loyalties and service.
Now I think of Annapurna
With a pitcher full of grains
Never to make you feel about shortage,
I think about Grihalakshmi,
The good house-keeper
When I find none around me to serve
And give food and water to me
And when there is none in the house
To look me after,
Their younger generation after their own,
When relationships seem to be torn apart,
The own are not own,
Situations seem to be changed.
