Another African Poem Poem by Kristine Melville

Another African Poem

Did I miss the plot and turn too many pages
Too Fast?
Or, am I not on the same page as my companions, who cared.
Questions, quivering, quaint
Too quick -
Me, too quick. And like so many.
Particularly the politicians and priests.
The pompous and imperious don't listen
Enough.
I believe that opening my ears, my eyes and my eccentric soul
More
Will guide and give a bigger garden
To the heart.
