Another As The Same. Poem by Bailey Burris

Another As The Same.

I fear the tears that brought me here
The mess of thoughts and made up cheer
The hope the shame, it all ends the same
The stupid jokes to hide the pain
And who’s to blame for the things I’ve craved?
And all the smiles I’ve tossed to the grave?
It’s all the different places.
Same ol’ deal, just different faces.
I should face it,
I will never taste it
When it comes to happiness I am a disgracment.
I’ve got good things in my life, but the bad replace it.
The words I’ve said, and nothing can change it?
The way I feel, it’s set in stone.
No one can comprehend the reasons I’m alone.
I know I’m messed up, lets all point it out.
Everyone just leaves, whats that all about?
The promises broken, the words that were spoken
And the tears that I am choken’, I’m rhymen’, but not joken’.
