Another Chance Poem by patrick reilly

Another Chance

Darkness surronds me
The deepest part of sea.
So deep and blue
Ready to take me as its own as it calls out to me.

I gasp for air, as water drags me down, deeper and deeper. As my lungs fill whit the darkness I cry that one last time.

It goes all black, in the last seconds, light shines around me pulling back up to surface giving me one more chance.

A hand reaches out to me. I grab it whit all of my power, I begin to breathe once again as the air kisses my face.

They gave me another chance to live my hopless life. I hope it was worth it
