Another Day - Poem by Miranda DeNooyer

Your legs will swing out from the covers
And you sit up in bed
Another day just like the others
The tears will not shed;
Bare feet step onto the cold, hard ground
Off is how the lights stay
Listening for nothing but a sound
Only the words you say;
Your mouth opens but no words will speak
People then pass you by
You still go on, don't know what you seek
And the truth is a lie;
You don't know and you don't really care
And thoughts go through your head
Walk in your room and do what you dare
And lay down in your bed.

    i agree that life can be very empty but only if you dont have something to guide your life. but this describes perfectly a meaningless life. (Report) Reply
