Another First Of January Poem by Deanna Samuels

The first of January has come quickly around once more
What opportunities might we find coming through the door
Would we perceive a worthwhile project to heed a great plan
Or lose it without recognition and it goes into oblivion

How many great chances have we let come and go
To realize too late, was proved beyond doubt that that was so
We need to be more aware of good notions yet to be overcome
Persevere, be patient, may enrich the quality of all lives to come
