Another Form Of Madeleine Poem by Phillip Ellis

Another Form Of Madeleine

Rating: 3.8

Backyard lychees,
juice running down my chin,
smouldering piles of leaves
murmuring in the wind,
the coldness of autumn
and the white plume
of the memorial jet
against the murky lake,
memories arise
with the first lychee
of this season.
