Another Heart Poem by Roxy Owens

Another Heart

She says she loves you.
But then she hits you.
You cry alone, she asks why.
But you wont tell.
Eyeliner runs, eyes bloodshot muffled crys, no one hears.

You pop the pills to kill the pain, it only helps for a little while.
You go to sleep and dream of peace
Wake up and see its hell, go to school its all the same to you.
Friends wanna help, you but you push them away; still you cry alone.

Go home, moms sitting there crying you ask whats wrong.
She strikes and says go away.
Slam your door, blare the music, pop some pills, mellow out.
Drift off wake to screaming, musics off, powers out.

Door swings open, your hidden in the darkness.
But you still can't escape.
She strikes, one blow to the head, you're knocked out.
Pulse is slow, you can breathe.
Sirens blare, you don't hear them, they take her away.
they put you in the ground and just forget.
Your another heart the worlds forgotten.
