Another Jack-In-The-Box Wreck. Poem by Gracey Newman

Another Jack-In-The-Box Wreck.

Inside a box; springs and hair.
Inside a box; another jack-in-the-box wreck.
Inside a box; 10 by 10, I''m suffocating.

So turn the knob...
To see what surprises will bring.
Inside a box; I''m hiding.

Watch out for my nasty smile;
my cheap perfume;
I''m inside a box thats ready to go BOOM.

Inside a box; restless and choking.
Another cigarette, another nasty, cheap regret.
Another nail in my coffin wreck.

I lay and wait; to escape
I lay and wait; to escape
I lay and wait; to escape

So turn the knob...
too wait for me.
The moment Pandora''s box is realest I will escape...
you''ll see.

I am my own prison cell. Inside my head hides just another Jack-in-the-box wreck.
