Another Morning Almost Gone Poem by Shalom Freedman

Another Morning Almost Gone

ANOTHER MORNING HAS ALMOST GONE

Another morning has almost gone
In which I have done little
Far less than I hoped –

One day it will not matter what I have done
And what I have not done-
For in that day
And all the days after
I will do nothing-

So it seems to me now
I should do better with the days I have
Though I am not sure I can do better-

This day too and now
I have written something
It may not be much
In all ways
But I have done something-

Or so it seems to me as I write this
On such a beautiful morning
A morning I am so happy to be alive in
A morning which is one of the I do not know how many mornings
I have left.
