Another Short Goodbye Poem by Tiya Sen

Another Short Goodbye

Let the skies groan today
as lightning gives them a lashing
let the winds moan today
as the swells come down crashing
let the moon hide away
let there be no more sun rising
let this world slowly fade away
as further away from me he keeps walking
For this aching won't ever leave
until this frail chest will stop to heave
for these warms tears won't ever cease
until my soul can rest in peace
Even the dark angel will be rendered incapacitated
inadequate inefficient to keep this agony sedated
there will be no dousing this yearning
until the tranquilising sounds of his footsteps returning
