Another Visit To The Dental Office Poem by Justin Gildow

Another Visit To The Dental Office

Here I am
Another visit to this place
Another visit to the dental office

They await me
They await my presence
The dentists and the hygienists

These days
When it comes to the dental office
It seems like it's always once a month
Which, pretty much, it is
I can't tell which is better or worse
Or what I like more
Long distant visits or short distant visits

Inside
The receptionists greet me
They welcome me
Once again
Once more

Soon
The hygienist greets me
Whether by long time appointments
or short time appointments
She welcomes me
She's been waiting for me

I sit in the chair
The hygienist asks me how I am
And what I've been up to these days
I tell her what's gone on

Soon
The dentist joins us
Shows me the progress we've made
so far
And what's to come

Regardless
After this visit
I know I'll be returning
Everyone knows it as well

Life is so full of unexpecting things
I should know
