Answered Prayer

I dream of him last night
Departing from my sight
Like a mist of fog slowly fading
Right before my very eyes

Tears roll down on my face
As I watch him disappear from our place
I tried to stop him from leaving
But the voice within me is fading

Dear LORD I prayed
Please wake me up from this dream
Please don’t let him fade away
For I love him truthfully

My eyes open unexpectedly
As I look at my side fearfully
Silent tears of joy on my face
For the LORD answered my prayer
