Answers Poem by Sandhya Suri

I look for answers,
search my soul
I needn’t look afar
I know where I walk.
This knowing of my own self
this contemplation of my entire life
laid open like a book
to be read-
it isn’t a story,
for, there isn’t a beginning
and there is no end;
I finally realize,
believe
all I have done
has been with my heart,
and I am glad to believe it is so.
I have found at long last
without much ado
the answer that I look for,
in myself,
in my own manipulative self
