Any Other Day
I woke one morning
I gazed upon the dark grey sky
The rain heavy on my window
From the rain the previous night
And I thought to myself
'Today will be my last
Or at least I'll wish it was
For today is a day of the past'
But today is just like any other day
And as I sit here and number
The raindrops that have fallen
From my eyes before the slumber
I think back to your kiss
And smile
