Atlantis Poem by Charlie Bain

Atlantis

Once upon a time
On a cold winter night
The night of Samhain
When the Oak and Holly fight
Two people fell in love
And kissed under the moon
Exchanged their blessed rings
A marriage of swoon

Once upon a time
On a warm summer day
The day of Beltane
When Oak and Holly play
A young queen was born
But not a queen by line
But the queen who'd be famous
Forever in her tribe

Once upon a time
While the autumn leaves fell
The girl had a plan
That she knew very well
To save her family from famine
She'd bring back the rain
And everyone in Atlantis
Would be happy again

Once upon a time
In the rebirth of spring
The dark chant was made
For all to sing
The sky grew dark
The rain fell down
And everyone in Atlantis
Was doomed to drown
