Apathy Poem by Unnamed Weirdo

Apathy

All feeling has drained, all emotions have been suppressed
All the hate, anger, and pain drifted away, unexpressed
Numbness has taken over, the mind has lost complete control
It just sees what it wishes to see, it's no lookout, no patrol
Hands begin to notice, liquid, icky, maroon, red, almost blood
Mixing in with the dirty lies told, turning the pure into mud
The uncut essence begins to fade, slowly wafting away
eagerly pulling and drawing the strings of fate like puppetry
Should or should not, puzzles the mind, leaves behind a mystery
Why and why not confuse all reasoning, and it seems so unfair
that despite all that has been endured, there's still more despair
When love turned to hate and anger and back to love, don't know
How it changed so quickly, rapidly, and where did empathy go
All that is known to the mind and heart alike is that there's apathy
mutated in the evil form of stoicism, indifference, and impassivity
