Are You Ready Now? - Poem by Red Brist

Are you ready now?
Has the wait been long enough?
I do not want new
I do not want old
I want you
For the rest of my life
I asked you once
You turned me down
That privilege does not happen twice
But you could change your name to Brist

just making sure you know what you're asking for; the poem seems spiteful, like you're bored with your situation; if such be the case with you, then go back to school; if such be the case with me, then quit worrying about being normal and follow your heart; cause neither of our lives are anything but abnormal (Report) Reply
