Are You Somewhere Poem by Amaranth Us

Are You Somewhere

Are you somewhere out there,
Waiting for my love to show?
Seeking everywhere the signs
That my soul is made for yours?

Or it's always been just me?
Hoping that you might've cared.
When it's dark, I feed my lies,
Fantasize to not be scared.

Broken pieces of my heart
Imitating all the traits,
You once told me that you loved.
Am I that, or am I trapped?

It's been tearing me apart.
It's too much for me alone.
Truth can only cut too sharp;
Take that knife and let me go.
