Ariana - Dangerous Woman! Poem by Jacson Gelato

Ariana - Dangerous Woman!

If death could name its enemy
no lips would need to speak;
if amusement assembles together those
who unto death have to succumb
when the show is over,
blame not the place, but the persons
who enticingly bring them together
though seemingly safe could be that venue.
Those admirers due to their fascination,
due to their appreciation
rush and crowd to listen to music
to enjoy the show and not to lose their life
to just one single action called tragedy
whether anticipated or sudden
whether unknown or familiar.
Yes, if many encounter death so collectively
at one place, at one time
whom do we hold guilty for the game, the show
that summons death near to its auditorium
and those who die in innocence
are offered mere words of sympathy
when they have paid for their tickets to be there
and to return home alive;
they have paid to enjoy the show of music
and not the show of death;
no crimes they knew of,
no enemies they had
no unruliness had touched them
in their lifespans
yet in the arms of death they had to depart
just because their sin was love for music?
And if by dereliction
should guilt ever hover around one's mind
it should make one understand
they would have not been there
they would have not all died together
or faced mortality
if only had they not to come there
to listen to that voice
as on that fatal day
that voice itself became the final enemy.
