Arroyo Poem by guillermo veloso

Arroyo

To have been loved
To have been lost
To have buried a father
To have been shepherded by dissonant angels
To have been a man in full
To have beckoned the moon
To have prayed over the relics of saints
To have seen flowers bloom in the night
To sit like bones lost in an arroyo, dusty and mute
