What can be more different than these two?
After all, physics applies mathematics and
the exactitude of the scientific method,
based on observation, measurement and experiments;
whereas painting, or music for that matter,
concern themselves with subjective emotions,
using colors, forms, or sounds, for expression.
However, a more careful examination
of art and science reveals, that despite
their numerous specificities,
they share a great deal in common.
They both involve, for example, imagination,
creativity and language. As a matter of fact,
all the fundamental concepts of physics-
including extension, quantity, space, time,
matter and cosmos- are poetic metaphors.
