'Art Class' 12/15/08

I'm sittin here in art class,
staring at my professor like she's a piece of crystal glass.
The glass is the knowlege that is pouring out of her spirit,
I want to focus, yet I just can't get with it.
My mind is tired, not of art, yet of my constant daily busy life.
I try to focus, all I can think about is, I gotta get some sleep tonight.
I put up a fight with my body, it's letting me know, it's time to chill,
and get some sleep.
yet, before I do that I gotta go home and get something to eat.
Then, my study alarm beeps and lets me know,
hey wake up, before you get a grade of a D.
I rose out of my temporary daydream and to the realization.
I gotta pay attention so I can pass this class,
cuz I don't have time to make my professor mean.
Plus, I gotta ace the exam and fulfill my dream of getting a college degree.
When I get da paper, I know I will be free.
