As A Mother Poem by Weldon Davis

As A Mother

She carried me
When I was young
And never thought of me as a burden

She nurtured me
Taught me things about this beautiful world
Set the example of just what
A woman should always be
Honest, hard working, and respectful

She was there
The first time I got sick
Or
When that 'First true love' broke my heart
Every time I've fell
She's been right there
To help me mend the pieces
As an adviser
As a confidant
As my truest friend
My mother
