As Good As You Say You Are - Poem by Jerry Abrahamson

I just love it
When someone starts telling me
About how good they are
At one thing or another

It is seldom true
That they really are
They just want to control
And be in the limelight

But, what if they are
As good as they say they are
And are not blowing
Smoke in your face
