Take me as I am
This is the real me
I don't need someone telling me
who I'm supposed to be.
Sure, I may be a little weird.
but you never even gave me a shot.
Everything you try to make me,
is everything I'm NOT.
I'll live my life the way I want it.
I don't need you telling me what to do.
Don't try to control me,
you don't OWN me,
this is the path I choose.
You may not go along with it,
but it's a chance I gotta take.
I'm going to be brave and show you,
that it's my decision to make.
Take a chance, don't live in a shadow.
Step out and live your life,
just because you sit inside all day,
doesn't mean it's not my time to shine.
