As I Rise Poem by Jeffrey John Adams

As I Rise

As I rise there is only one thing on my mind
Right now you are but a memory
But soon you will be close enough to touch
Sometimes you may be as cold as ice
Because I have not come to warm you up
I know everything about you and what to pamper you with
And I know where everything goes
Your scent excites my soul
Your complexion is golden which just adds to your outstanding figure
I have to see you everyday even if it's just a picture
So pleasing to the eye
When we meet, my toungue begins to sweat
Always ready for the first encounter
I thank all the objects and ingredients of this earth which help shape you
Truly one of a kind
I understand that you can never let me know how you truly feel
Even if it's pain I cause you I apologize but I just can't have enough
I can't wait till our next meeting
Oh how I love my Waffles! !
