As I Stand By Your Grave Poem by Elia Michael

As I Stand By Your Grave

As I stand by your grave,
My emotions run deep
And inwardly I weep,
As you I could not save.

As I stand by your stone,
In silent reverie,
You're a far memory
And long, long ago gone.

As I stand where you lie,
A faint breeze stirs the ground.
I feel you all around,
In all below the sky.
