Tony's Ginger Cat Poem by Elia Michael

Tony's Ginger Cat

Rating: 4.5

Face white he came running in
From his mouth a loud shriek
What is it? I cried
In baby Cypriot Greek he replied
Fo'ate Tonys jitinon gato!
Or Scared be Tony of yellow cat!
For those who know no Greek
To which I laughed
But then remembered
He was only two
Half my age
At that precise moment in time
This treasured brother of mine

Nice poem. And I have learned a few Greek words in the reading of it.

A great snap shot memory of your little brother, superb treasure recounted with succinct poetic and lyrical eloquence.
