As One Poem by Olujobi Jedidiahz

Once upon a time in a Way,
as two our lives.
though duo in a faraway
hearts then as two live.

From different background came
different tradition and home training
The duo as entities aim,
for desires, hope and living.

for years continued
to struggle for want
not minding what many said
the duo merged on with a panting.

Finally the day came
a someday turn oneday
like a joke it came
when the duo shall live as one.

Achievement achieved,
desire acquired
now the commandment must obey
'as one thou shall cleave'.

without wasting time
from the land of Way
in a land faraway
two hearts meet as one.

As one they vowed,
shall we live.
'for better for worse,
in health and wealth
in riches and in issues

In meekness ne'er in sickness
in prosperity, far from us poverty,
even now till death do us part
shall we live as one.

In circumstances,
whatever the stances,
even when eyes want to chance
we as one shall live to dance

Evil far from us
why asked the duo?
'whatever confess by us
sure that given by the universe.

One a thousand shall chase
Two ten thousand shall chase
from we in the land a Way
As one to chase ten thousand.

from today, our heart as one beat
none shall come in between
our vow to stand the heat
from them who not want us win.

As one this day stand,
in holy matrimony.
many afar understand
that once in, make all worth it.

As one shall we live,
in peace our root shall find
no matter the hike
truly, we shall overcome to the end
