As She Storms Out Poem by Michael Thiem

As She Storms Out

Forced to come over
Just hating where she has to go
As she walks into the house hiding behind our friend
Not willing to make eye contact

The friends go down stairs
She went into the corner
Reading a magazine
As time goes by

Things awkward
Not saying a word
The guys are sorry
The girls don’t want to hear it

She was the one that was hurt the most
Asking her friend for a ride home
But not able to get it
She stays a little longer

But as she cant handle it she gets up to leave
Someone asks for her to come back
But she just leaves
Leaving me there feeling terrible

Anger in the air
Frustration in each person
Confusion in the room
Sadness in each of our hearts..

Everyone starts talking
But I sit there thinking
I want to run after her
Telling her I am sorry

But would she accept the apology?
Not knowing what to do my eyes start to water
My heart beats faster
My thoughts get messy

Taking a deep breath
Holding back the tears
Wanting to run after her
But what would happen

Feeling bad
Wanting to help her
Wanted to be with her
Wanted to be there for her

Why didn’t I think before I acted
Why didn’t I know the consequences
Why didn’t I act when she left
Why did she have to go…
