As She Waved Poem by Richard G Berg

As She Waved

As she waved hello
She waved goodbye
As he waved goodbye
He waved hello
Neither of them would know
Whether they were coming or going
Neither of them cared
To know
As this had been a dream
And nothing was
Quite as it would seem

She narrated this to her analyst
Over a light lunch, wavering
Slightly from her Screwdriver

A wasp sought a fatal sip of life
From her drink
They both waved
It off at once, laughing at this
Then they waved goodbye
Though it could have been hello
Only another dream
Would tell them where to go
