As Though Saying Poem by Colin Burger

As Though Saying

She walks by glancing into my eyes as she passes
As though saying follow me I’ll let you into my world
I watch her walk the streets everyday still she looks
As though saying follow me I’ll let you into my life
She looks deeper every day she passes
As though saying follow me I’ll let you into my heart

One day as she walks by she looks the deepest she ever has
Grabbing my hand at the last possible second
As though saying come with me I’m yours
I wait for her the next few days
And each day she grabs my hand
As though saying come with me I need you in my life

The days later she grabs my hand as normal
I follow only to be thrown into the trash
As though saying get away you freak
I laying there watching her walk away
As though saying goodbye forever

And yet I still sit there wait for her to grab my hand
She never does
As though saying you’re not worth my time and effort
I still sit there waiting
Waiting for her to grab my hand
As though saying I Will Always Love You
