As Time Goes By Poem by Jessie Lima

As Time Goes By

I sit back and watch closely,
Is there anything as intense as the rain?
Some say the birth of a child,
Some say is the mother's pain.

But it's all worth it, right?
We love our own very much.
We would do anything for them;
Scream and lie
Steal and fight.

I sit back and watch closely,
Is there anything as scary as silence?
Some say: Loneliness for sure,
I say is fear for I experienced it before.

I sit back and watch closely,
I sit back and watch,
I sit back, period.
I can't really do much...
Time has passed.
