Ashen Tears Poem by New Girl Dark NewGirlDark

Ashen Tears

I cry in silence so pain won't hear,
but sorrow always lingers near.
A broken echo in empty air,
where even sadness forgets to care.

The nights grow colder inside my chest,
a haunted heart that cannot rest.
I wear a smile like fragile glass,
watching every memory slowly pass.

The moonlight falls on tired eyes,
reflecting ghosts and silent goodbyes.
Every whisper inside my mind
leaves another piece of me behind.

I walk through shadows dressed in gray,
pretending I am still okay.
But underneath this fading skin,
there lives a storm I cannot dim.

The walls remember every scream,
every shattered hope, every broken dream.
And though I hide beneath the dark,
grief still leaves its dying mark.

Sometimes I speak to the lonely night,
asking the stars if I'll be alright.
But heaven answers cold and bare,
with empty winds and vacant air.

Still I remain, despite the ache,
a soul too tired for hearts to break.
And in the silence where tears fall deep,
I bury the parts of me I cannot keep.
