Ashes Unto Ashes Poem by Frank James Ryan Jr...fjr

Ashes Unto Ashes

The hour-glass broke,
and the sand grain felt the smoke
spiraling from the shards of glass,

traveling high on Natures breath,
and gravity, 'till twilight dropped
its murky veil upon the haze
of an evening, dark...darkest dark
dark as black...blackest black.

And just like that,
Time was gone,
taking Space along with it,
forever, from the morning next.

And, every sand grain dropped
its weight upon the wings-
of a single White Dove afire,
from Its own Time and Space;
such a paradigm be this,
unequal in point and message-
of mystery, faith and trust.

From ashes we were born,
unto ashes we'll return.

Time and Space, paralyzed,
will have nothing more to do
with matters of Soul and Spirit.

Time and Space too shall die,
not an ash be left behind-
to create another being,
for that would be abetting
the motion of the Anti-Christ.
and, just like that, Peace shall reign.

The hour-glass broke,
the sand grain blew
into a breeze of timeless space.
