Ashit The Asteroid

Though green where it's from,
the name Ashit
is brown in the land of the Pom.

A man of that name,
going abroad,
changed Ashit to Asword.

Another opted for Ashleigh;
a third for simply Ash.

A groovy Ashit
dropped the Ash
and called himself Justit.

Realising his error,
he said, 'Call me Hit.'

Big Hit, the asteroid
that destroyed the dinosaurs,
thus became named Ashit.

I add:
it also became Asword and Ashleigh,
Ash, Big Ash and Justit.
