Asian Love Poem by Yimo Huang

Asian Love

Give me love. I can't feel enough love.
Understand me. I'm not fully understood.

You let me in your paradise.
You're a part of me that I can't part with—
My inseparable part.
You are my prison,
I'm your chain.

Mixed with a dull ache of love,
Dull ache dissects the wound at night,
Love mends wounds in the daytime.

Wet and cloudy
It hung over me all my life

I was wronged, I was frightened
But I love you
My mother.
