one time i
used the word adamant
and the guy next to me says
he has never used it

and i tell him even if you did
not use it
or do not even understand it
at one time
we all had been adamant

despite being burned
or even charred or even thrown as
ashes in the river of life
we never cease with that desire
to live- -

ask a poet.
