Ask The Nurse..... - Poem by Hema Chandran

Ask me, Ask us
What am I, Who we are?
Ask me, Ask us
We are angles, I am a healer.
Ask me, Ask us
What do I do, How do we do?
Ask me, Ask us
We fix souls, I fix hearts.
Ask me, Ask us
How do I feel, What do we feel?
Ask me, Ask us
We feel committed, I feel endured.
Ask me, Ask us
What are people, How are people?
Ask me, Ask us
People are broken bones, People are broken glasses.
Ask me, Ask us
What do I get, What do we get?
Ask me, Ask us
We obtain Integrity, I obtain Individuality.
Ask me, Ask us
What bothers us, What bothers me?
Ask me, Ask us
I'm bothered by guilt, We are bothered by death.
Ask me, Ask us
How do we sleep, How do I sleep?
Ask me, Ask us
We sleep with satisfaction, I sleep with Hope.
Ask me, Ask us
Who are you, Who am I?
Ask me, Ask us
We are Motherhood, I'm a NURSE.
