Asleep

I can hear your breath echoing
the sound of your heart beating against your chest
so rhythmic and calm
so sweet and steady
your brown hair in your face
your blue eye's tucked away behind the lids
even if I can't be by you
I can still feel you by me and I hope you can feel me the same
as I sit here and dream of you I only hope
you can dream of me too.
