Astral Progression - Poem by James Darwin Smith II

A star's ascension
Traveling beyond space
Time ceasing beyond comprehension
In awe of it all
So much freedom to roam

Seizing surroundings
A realm of avant-garde rhapsody
Vast golden ethereal surrounding
Torrential enigmas
Unknown amassing feelings emerging

Grasping each moment
Bevy expressions inner buoyancy
Astral projection diplomacy
Feeling ever so magical
Within the wonders of cosmic acceptance imploring

So much comfort
Feeling surreal to this universal core
Soul star learning
The value of the unknown
Never fearing what will be next to come

A star's descending
Spiralling into the flesh
Stuck for a moment
Reality hits hard
So limited to do anything at all

Back into this flesh
Crash landing back into society
So strong this anxiety is
Feeling out of place
But that is how life just is

Deep breaths
Onward I go
Fighting with everything
Mustering on as much as I can
Time to play make pretend

Smiling nervously
Going back into my head

Sorry for not being here
Thinking of how this soul can go anywhere but here!

Wake me up
Take this hand
Let us go on our own command
Then you will know what I mean

A star's redemption so close to be fully explored
At peace through each cosmic storm
Till I learn how to go out of my body
To subconsciously balanced again

Striving to live profoundly inside this flesh
Will live a very long time
Teaching this soul to adapt to this stage
So everything can be the best beyond the end

Loving this skin
In life still a nervous wreck
But fighting with everything I have
To be at one with this soul

The star will fall again
Only to raise me back up
Taking me to the highest level
When the time comes
When my soul says my flesh is finally done

Far from done
I walk amongst this fate baring my all
Will they understand where I am coming from?
Only time will tell

If you are looking for a tragedy
Never try understanding me
I am not as predictable as you think I really am

Just a soul up for the challenge
To make these footsteps stronger
So this body can walk into a world achieving golden stars
Full of the aspiration of self in this world of open minded dependence

In slumber I am a star in training
An Apprentice beyond this flesh
Awaiting the day when I and universe finally unite as one
