At some point in life, you'd understand;
That people are more concerned with their lives than yours.
Even those who love you beyond bounds;
Cannot help; with the weight of your cross.

At some point in life, you'd be hurt.
By someone you loved true and deep.
The pain would rip and severe your heart.
And the hurt would be yours, for a lifetime to keep.

At some point in life, you'd realize,
You were never alone like you thought you were.
You searched for things beyond the skies;
Failing to see that besides you, they were.

But, if at some point in life, you come to understand;
That life is too short, but worth the dance;
That ill will and bliss are breaths of chance;
Then smile…'cause life is now something you understand.
